Job Summary & Tips for Applying
Quick Summary & What to Highlight: The Seasonal Courier position at Federal Express Corporation Canada in Peterborough is a temporary part-time driving role lasting up to 12 weeks, with mandatory weekend shifts. A full valid Class G licence with a clean driving record is the first thing to put on your resume, followed by any customer service experience, since both directly support the route delivery and customer-facing duties described in the posting.
Resume & Application Tips: Lead with your Class G licence and note the date it was issued, since FedEx reviews your driver’s abstract as part of selection. If you have customer service experience, describe it in terms of handling questions and keeping people informed, which maps directly to what the posting asks for. A line such as “Handled an average of 40 customer interactions per shift, resolving inquiries on shipping options and timelines” shows the kind of detail that makes experience concrete. List any experience with handheld devices, scanning equipment, or computer-based dispatch systems, since the posting specifies operating tracking and dispatch software.
Interview Preparation: Be ready to describe a time you managed a high-volume workload accurately under time pressure, since the posting emphasizes both timely delivery and accurate documentation. Prepare a clear answer on your weekend availability, as Saturday and Sunday shifts are mandatory. The posting lists two possible start times (8:30 am or 10:00 am), so it is worth asking which shift you would be assigned to. You may also want to confirm whether a van or vehicle is provided, since the posting mentions loading a van but does not specify whether drivers supply their own.
