Responsibilities
As a Postal Clerk at Canada Post’s Edson office, you’ll take on a broad set of duties that span both the retail counter and mail operations sides of the business. This variety keeps the role engaging while building a well-rounded skill set in logistics and customer-facing service.
- Deliver customer service through a variety of sales and service activities to ensure complete customer satisfaction

- Process financial transactions including cash, cheques, debit, and credit card payments
- Maintain floor displays and carry out merchandising and inventory control tasks
- Sort and batch mail — receiving, sequencing, and organizing mail items for processing
- Operate mail processing equipment, including clearing jams and removing mail from sorting machines where applicable
- Transport mail between floors or sections using rolling or motorized equipment where applicable
- Review mail items for address accuracy and correct postage
- Handle mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lbs), including lifting, carrying, bending, and reaching as required
