About the Role: Postmaster (Group Office)

The Postmaster is responsible for the full operation of a community post office in Buck Lake. This includes selling and promoting Canada Post products and services, managing postal revenue and assets, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports. You’ll also assist with mail delivery route management, sort mail to postal boxes as needed, and keep the post office clean and presentable according to Canada Post standards.

A key requirement of this role is that the successful candidate must be able to provide suitable premises in a central, barrier-free location within the community within 30 days of hire. Postmasters are responsible for costs associated with operating those premises, including rent or lease charges, heating, lighting, maintenance, snow removal, and insurance. A leasing allowance of $2,914.00 per year is provided to help offset these costs, and an additional supplemental allowance may be available annually. Staff supervision may also be part of the role.
