Responsibilities
Working the overnight export shift, Package Handlers at UPS are responsible for the physical movement and accurate processing of shipments heading out of the facility. Every action you take directly impacts the reliability of UPS’s delivery network — precision and speed both matter.
- Learn and execute proper UPS package handling methods and procedures
- Load and unload packages into trailers and package cars efficiently and safely
- Scan, sort, and stock packages according to destination and routing requirements
- Read and memorize postal codes to ensure accurate package sorting
- Operate heavy machinery as required to complete warehouse tasks
- Perform additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced environment
Requirements / Skills
UPS is looking for someone who is physically capable, dependable, and ready to commit to a consistent overnight schedule. Candidates who have prior warehouse or logistics experience will have an advantage, though it is not a strict requirement for this position.
- Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) on a regular basis
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes for accurate package sorting
- Availability to work flexible shift hours up to 5 days per week
