About the Role: Export Package Handler

As a Package Handler at the Lachine facility, your primary focus will be on the movement and processing of outbound shipments. Responsibilities

Working in the export section of the Lachine warehouse, Package Handlers are the backbone of UPS’s nightly outbound operations. Each shift, you’ll be carrying out a range of physical tasks that keep shipments flowing accurately and on time.

  • Load and unload UPS packages from trailers and package cars efficiently and safely
  • Scan and sort packages according to destination and routing requirements
  • Stock packages in designated areas of the warehouse
  • Apply UPS handling methods correctly by learning and following established procedures
  • Operate heavy machinery as required to complete warehouse tasks
  • Adapt to additional tasks assigned by supervisors in a fast-paced environment

Requirements / Skills

UPS is looking for candidates who are physically capable, reliable, and detail-oriented. The ideal applicant is comfortable with repetitive physical work and can stay focused during a fast-paced evening shift. Prior warehouse experience is an asset but not required.
