About the Role: Delivery Driver (Class 5)

This position puts you behind the wheel of a UPS delivery vehicle, navigating residential routes and ensuring packages reach customers on time. You’ll work Tuesday to Saturday, starting between 9 AM and noon, with approximately 40 to 45 hours per week. New drivers may be assigned to cover multiple areas, so familiarity with the region and the ability to use map books is a genuine asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packages to residential addresses across assigned routes in the Lachine area
• Navigate routes using map books and local area knowledge to ensure timely deliveries
• Lift and handle parcels weighing up to 70 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
• Maintain professional customer contact at every delivery point, representing UPS positively
• Adhere to UPS appearance guidelines and company standards throughout each shift
• Cover multiple residential areas as needed, particularly during the early stages of employment
• Operate a delivery vehicle safely and in full compliance with provincial traffic regulations

Requirements / Skills

UPS is looking for candidates who are dependable, physically capable, and committed to safe driving. The ideal applicant brings a clean driving record, bilingual communication skills, and the maturity to handle a busy independent route with minimal supervision.

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (or higher) issued in the province of Quebec — required before applying
• Clean driver’s abstract with no at-fault accidents in the last 3 years and no traffic violations in the last 12 months
• Minimum 21 years of age due to insurance requirements
• Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) — approximately 75% of client interactions are with English-speaking customers
• Physical fitness to lift up to 70 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
• Map reading ability and working knowledge of the local area are considered strong assets
