Over-the-Counter Associate – Walmart – Windsor, Ontario

Walmart Canada’s Windsor location on Tecumseh Road East is looking for an Over-the-Counter (OTC) Associate to join their in-store pharmacy and health product team. This is a permanent, hourly position with a flexible schedule that spans mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights — ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers in a retail health environment.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping the OTC department organized, well-stocked, and running smoothly. From helping customers find what they need to ensuring product compliance and department presentation, your work directly supports the pharmacy team and contributes to the overall shopping experience at Walmart Windsor.

About the Role: Over-the-Counter Associate

As an OTC Associate, you’ll assist customers navigating the health and wellness aisles while working closely with the Pharmacy Manager and OTC Department Manager. Your day-to-day duties include maintaining modular and feature presentation, rotating stock, checking for expired products, and ensuring the department stays clean, compliant, and visually organized. You’ll also follow procedures related to ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, and proper pricing and labelling.

Attention to detail matters in this role. You’ll be responsible for maintaining zero pricing errors through the Scanning Credibility Program, calibrating equipment used in the prescription filling process, and upholding patient confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act. Being part of the pharmacy support team means operating with a high standard of professionalism and care.

Benefits and Salary

This position starts at a minimum rate of $17.75 per hour. Responsibilities

Working in the OTC department means balancing customer service with behind-the-scenes department upkeep. You’ll take ownership of your assigned area and support the pharmacy team in keeping operations running efficiently and compliantly. Here’s what a typical shift involves:

• Assist customers in the OTC department, providing helpful and knowledgeable service in line with Walmart’s Basic Beliefs and values
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all practices consistent with the Privacy Act
• Maximize department sales and profit with direction from the Pharmacy Manager
• Rotate stock and check for expired products to ensure shelf safety and freshness
• Zone the department and maintain modular and feature presentation standards
• Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, and signing, flagging, pricing, and labelling
• Keep the area N.C.O. and free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids
• Maintain zero pricing errors by adhering to the Scanning Credibility Program
• Calibrate equipment used in the prescription filling process
