About the Role: General Merchandise Associate

As a General Merchandise Associate, your primary focus is keeping the sales floor organized, fully stocked, and customer-ready. You’ll greet shoppers, help them navigate the store, assist with product selection, and step in to resolve concerns when needed. Behind the scenes, you’ll be completing restocking, downstocking, modular sets, and making sure merchandise is properly placed and protected throughout the store.

This role also carries responsibility for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. That means following Walmart’s policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring all displays and fixtures are secure. You’ll work closely with fellow associates to coordinate floor coverage and keep customer service levels consistent throughout the day.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.75 per hour. • Zone assigned merchandise areas to keep the sales floor clean, organized, and customer-ready at all times
• Process recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas, returning items to their correct modular locations
• Stock merchandise and complete downstocking as required, apply product protection when needed, and set and complete modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following Company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
• Work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
