Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense completed eyeglasses and contact lenses by checking against the prescription prior to dispensing
• Fit and adjust eyeglasses using a frame warmer and manual adjustments to ensure proper fit
• Handle transactions including cash, cheque, credit, and debit payments in accordance with proper procedures
• Maintain contact lens trial inventory and stock optical merchandise and supplies according to department standards
• Oversee apprentices and students as required to support their certification qualifications
• Maintain active provincial licensing to ensure good standing within the provincial order
• Keep the department clean and uphold a high standard of health care cleanliness at all times
