About the Role: Loss Prevention Clerk

As a Loss Prevention Clerk at Costco Halifax, your primary responsibility is to protect the warehouse from both internal and external theft. • Teach and coach warehouse team members on loss prevention topics, policies, and procedures
• Communicate with neighbouring Costco LP Clerks and local businesses to exchange information on current theft threats
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed

Requirements / Skills

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Loss Prevention Licence as required by the Province of Nova Scotia

• Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada relating to theft and fraud offences, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Trespass Act, and applicable Privacy Acts
• Strong communication and observation skills with the ability to problem-solve in high-pressure situations
• Ability to remain on your feet and walk the warehouse floor for extended periods throughout the day
