About the Role: Cashier Assistant

Responsibilities

The Cashier Assistant role at Costco Halifax is fast-paced and physically active.   • Retrieve carts and flatbeds from the parking lot using a rope with a clasping hook, pushing no more than 8 carts at a time, and keeping the lot free of debris
  • Perform set-up and closing duties including returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area
  • Operate the mechanical trash compactor and cardboard bailer as required
  • Support cashiers during special promotions and assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed
