Responsibilities

Day-to-day, the Office Import Coordinator plays a key role in keeping shipment documentation accurate and moving. From opening customer files to liaising with customs authorities, every task contributes to the smooth flow of import operations at UPS.

  • Process customs clearance and confirm declarations for repetitive and non-complex shipments using the CCBS system
  • Create or modify line codes and classifications within client profiles in the CCBS system
  • Handle data entry including opening customer files, validating information, and managing credit and invoicing
  • Collect supplementary documentation from customers, drivers, customs offices, and other parties as required
  • Identify discrepancies in customer profiles and flag them appropriately
  • Answer standard inquiries from customers, drivers, customs, and other offices in a timely manner
  • Manage delivery service requests and import permits when required, and forward proper documentation to government authorities
  • Collaborate as a team member with clients, UPS SCS employees, carriers, and inbound agents

Requirements / Skills

This is an entry-level position designed for candidates who are ready to build a career in customs and import coordination. UPS values individuals who bring a combination of foundational knowledge, communication ability, and a willingness to learn within a fast-paced logistics environment.

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a relevant role or environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
