About the Role: Meat Assistant

Responsibilities

The Meat Assistant role covers a wide range of daily tasks that keep the department fully stocked, safe, and operating to standard. Every task contributes directly to the quality of product on the floor and the overall member experience.

  • Inspect and reassemble equipment sanitized the previous night and rework the display case at the start of each shift
  • Operate the automatic wrapping machine by loading individual styro-packaged meat from large wheeled racks
  • Set and apply labels using the labeller, configured by product type and price
  • Stock display cases by placing wrapped and labelled product through sliding windows or moving racks to the floor
  • Operate the meat grinder and check the fat content of each batch to ensure consistency and quality
  • Clean and sanitize the work area throughout the day in compliance with health codes and sanitation standards
  • Maintain proper temperatures and follow all food safety procedures as required
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and department implements
  • Provide courteous member service and assist in other areas of the warehouse when needed

Requirements / Skills
