Responsibilities

Working in the Costco Food Court means staying on your feet and handling a mix of food preparation, customer service, and sanitation duties. Each responsibility plays a direct role in delivering a quality experience to members while keeping the food court operating safely and efficiently.

  • Prepare hot food items including rolling, shaping, topping, and baking pizzas; slicing and warming baked goods; steaming hot dogs and buns; and operating deep fryers
  • Process cash transactions by ringing up sales, collecting payment, and making correct change; take whole pizza orders at the counter and over the phone
  • Assemble and present orders to members promptly and courteously, following department production and cash handling procedures
  • Dispense dessert and drink items such as frozen yogurt, lattes, and smoothies; clean, sanitize, service, and refill dispensing machines regularly
  • Maintain the self-serve pop area, condiment table, and eating area; bus, clean, and sanitize tables; sweep and mop floors; empty trash receptacles
  • Sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and utensils including machines, floors, pans, and counters; take garbage to the trash compactor and operate it safely
  • Pull and stock ingredients and supplies from the warehouse to shelves, cooler, and freezer; stage ingredients to the preparation area and refill dispensing machines
  • Comply with health codes including sanitation standards, temperature monitoring, product rotation, and expiration date compliance
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed to support overall operations
