About the Role: Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant

Day to day, you’ll be the go-to person for members browsing electronics, major appliances, and jewellery. That means answering questions, demonstrating products, explaining features, and helping members load purchases into their carts. You’ll also keep the department looking sharp — facing and aligning product, maintaining displays, and ensuring signage is accurate.

Beyond member-facing duties, this role involves staying sharp on product knowledge by reading industry magazines and product reviews, experimenting with merchandise to understand its specifications, and communicating with the Area Manager about inventory levels, pricing, and promotions. You’ll also play a part in loss prevention by organizing security lock-up and keeping the sales floor clean and clear of debris.

Responsibilities

As an Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant at Costco Winnipeg, your responsibilities span member service, product expertise, and department upkeep. Each of these duties contributes to the smooth operation of one of the warehouse’s highest-engagement departments.

  • Maintain displays by following merchandising standards — setting up, cleaning, facing, and aligning product and replenishing stock
  • Check and approve product for member returns and verify accuracy of product signage and markings
  • Participate in merchandise moves, review stocking lists, and assist with placing items in the aisles
  • Organize security item lock-up and maintain a clean, debris-free sales floor
  • Support other areas of the warehouse as needed

Requirements / Skills

Costco is looking for candidates who bring a genuine interest in consumer electronics and appliances, paired with strong member-facing communication skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail warehouse setting.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
