Responsibilities
The Bakery Wrapper role is active and detail-oriented. You’ll be responsible for the quality and presentation of baked goods from the moment they leave the oven to when they reach the member. Each task plays a direct role in keeping the bakery department running efficiently and to Costco’s high standards.
- Remove product from baking containers and prepare for finishing
- Garnish and finish baked goods with icing, glaze, or drizzle according to Costco formulas and production procedures
- Wrap and package baked goods by hand or using a wrapping machine; assemble pre-cut cardboard boxes as needed
- Weigh and label products accurately, and cull broken, underweight, heavy, or defective items
- Move product using large wheeled metal racks throughout the department
- Monitor and restock the bakery sales area, rotate stock, and check pull dates in compliance with health code
- Provide courteous member service, maintain product knowledge, and assist members in locating items
- Maintain cleanliness of the wrapping and sales areas, and follow all safety and security procedures
- Assist with other bakery or warehouse duties as required
Requirements / Skills
