Maintenance Team Associate – Walmart – Vaughan, ON

Walmart Canada is looking for a Maintenance Team Associate to join its team in Vaughan, Ontario. This is a temporary contract position based at the store located at 670 Applewood Crescent in Concord, and it plays a direct role in keeping the store clean, safe, and ready for customers every single day.

About the Role: Maintenance Team Associate

As a Maintenance Team Associate, your primary focus is participating in a structured maintenance cleaning programme throughout the store. You’ll work closely with the Stocking Coach and fellow associates to carry out a comprehensive cleaning regiment that covers everything from sales floor areas to Fresh Department coolers and freezers.

This role also involves compliance with Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines, ensuring that the store meets the health and safety requirements that protect both customers and colleagues. You’ll be expected to work in accordance with all company policies and complete required in-store certification programmes to maintain a safe working environment.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.05 per hour. Responsibilities

Day to day, the Maintenance Team Associate is responsible for carrying out a range of cleaning and upkeep tasks across the entire store. These duties are essential to creating a safe shopping experience for customers and a healthy working environment for all associates.

• Coordinate with the Stocking 3 Coach and fellow associates to execute a comprehensive cleaning regiment throughout the store
• Comply with all Food Safety standards and cold chain guidelines at all times
• Clean all Fresh Departments in a timely manner, including coolers, freezers, and display fixtures
• Inspect maintenance and cleaning equipment to ensure proper working condition and confirm sufficient supplies are available
• Promote a safe working environment by completing required in-store certification programmes and adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Maintain floors throughout the store by mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and caring for carpets, including all non-sales floor areas
