Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be hands-on with Workday configurations, testing, and system enhancements while simultaneously guiding a team of configuration professionals. The work spans technical execution and strategic collaboration — every responsibility feeds into keeping CTC’s HR technology running smoothly and evolving effectively.

  • Act as subject matter expert for Workday HCM and security modules, including Core HCM, Security, and Benefits, with working knowledge across recruiting, compensation, payroll, learning, talent, time tracking, and absence management
  • Lead a team of Workday system configuration professionals, managing performance and guiding their day-to-day delivery
  • Partner with functional teams to review business requirements, recommend process improvements, and deploy system enhancements
  • Maintain and enhance Workday configurations including business processes, notifications, setup values, and eligibility and condition rules
  • Lead and manage testing cycles including unit testing, end-to-end testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing
  • Troubleshoot integration issues in collaboration with technical partners, ensuring accurate and timely data flow between systems, vendors, and external providers
  • Execute Workday semi-annual releases, delivering new functionality and enhancements to the organization
  • Maintain CTC’s Workday security framework, developing custom security roles and managing security for new integrations
  • Build, test, and upload EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders) for mass data uploads as required
  • Support internal and external audit requirements as needed

  • 4–7 years of hands-on functional Workday experience with demonstrated depth in HCM and security modules

  • Deep understanding of Human Resources processes and HR data management
  • Strong problem-solving ability with experience resolving complex, multi-dimensional issues across systems and stakeholders
  • Exceptional collaboration and influence skills, with the ability to drive change and contribute to operational effectiveness
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of retail, distribution centre, or hourly workforce environments is an asset
