About the Role: Martech Platform Engineer
This position spans four core areas: Adobe Platform Engineering, Data Engineering and Modelling, Integration Engineering, and Platform Operations and Governance. You’ll be responsible for configuring and maintaining AEP, AJO, and CJA environments, implementing Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP) capabilities, and ensuring all platform configurations align with architectural standards and governance policies. You’ll also build and optimize AJO journeys, event triggers, and audience-based orchestration, while supporting CJA data views, connections, and reporting structures.
On the data side, you’ll design scalable batch and near real-time data pipelines, develop XDM schema designs, manage identity strategies, and ensure high-quality customer and event data through transformation, enrichment, and validation. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot data ingestion, identity resolution, and profile fragmentation issues, while also maintaining operational documentation such as runbooks, data flow diagrams, and technical design documents.

Responsibilities

Requirements / Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, marketing technology, customer data platforms, or integration engineering
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with one or more Adobe platforms: AEP, AJO, CJA, or Adobe Real-Time CDP
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale customer and event datasets
- Experience with ETL/ELT, API integrations, and enterprise data pipelines including batch, streaming, and event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with Adobe XDM and identity namespaces (ECID, CRM ID, email, loyalty ID, etc.) as well as Adobe Data Collection, Web SDK, and Mobile SDK
- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Azure, Databricks, or BigQuery, and scripting experience with Python or Java
- Understanding of privacy and compliance frameworks including consent management and data retention policies
