Benefits and Salary
Canadian Tire offers a salary range of $53,000 to $70,000 CAD annually for this role, with final compensation dependent on experience, skills, and other factors. Responsibilities
The Category Business Analyst role covers a wide range of responsibilities across analytics, product, vendor relations, and execution. On any given day you might be pulling together a performance report, reviewing samples for an upcoming seasonal line, or coordinating timelines with a supplier — the breadth of the work is a real strength of this position.
- Analyze sales, margin, inventory, market, and customer data to identify category risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
- Support assortment planning and line reviews by preparing analysis, product comparisons, presentations, and recommendations
- Coordinate key category milestones and deliverables, keeping timelines, decisions, and approvals on track
- Support product development from initial concept through final execution, including samples, artwork, packaging, costing, and product information
- Partner with vendors to follow up on submissions, samples, timelines, product details, and outstanding actions
- Monitor emerging party, colour, design, licensed, social, and celebration trends to help identify new category opportunities
- Maintain accurate SKU, vendor, pricing, and promotional information across internal systems and reporting tools

Requirements / Skills
