Analyst, Information Security Risk Reporting – Canadian Tire – Toronto, ON

Canadian Tire Corporation is on the lookout for an Analyst, Information Security Risk Reporting to join their Cyber Risk Reporting team in Toronto, Ontario. In this position, you’ll be collecting and transforming cybersecurity data into meaningful visualizations, dashboards, and executive reports that inform investment decisions and operational priorities across the organization. You’ll work alongside the Senior Lead, Cyber Risk Reporting, and collaborate with teams spanning Cyber and IT to ensure the right data reaches the right people at the right time.

About the Role: Analyst, Information Security Risk Reporting

Day to day, this role centres on gathering data from multiple stakeholders, building and maintaining a centralized data repository, and feeding that information into visualization tools and dashboards. You’ll design both operational dashboards for Cyber teams and executive-level dashboards that support risk-based investment decisions. The work demands equal parts technical capability and communication skill — you need to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, digestible insights for audiences ranging from technical staff to company leadership.

You’ll also be responsible for automating data collection and dashboard updates wherever possible, maintaining a consistent reporting schedule, and creating documentation to support ongoing dashboard maintenance. Stakeholder management is a meaningful part of the role: you’ll develop templated intake and interview processes to ensure successful collaboration when scoping new dashboards. Contributing to board-level metrics and other compulsory reporting may also be part of your responsibilities.

Benefits and Salary

Canadian Tire offers a broadband salary range of $53,000 to $88,000, with a typical hiring range between $53,000 and $70,000. Final compensation depends on your experience, internal equity, industry benchmarks, and role-specific requirements. Responsibilities

This role is fundamentally about turning raw cybersecurity data into actionable intelligence. You’ll spend your time bridging the gap between technical data sources and business decision-makers, ensuring that cyber risk information is accurate, timely, and presented in a way that drives meaningful outcomes across the organization.

• Collect and consolidate data from multiple stakeholders across Cyber and IT to define and gather meaningful cybersecurity metrics
• Map cybersecurity metrics to adopted risk frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational standards
• Design operational dashboards for Cyber teams to assist in prioritizing work based on risk and urgency
• Build executive-level dashboards that support risk-based investment decisions at the leadership level
• Automate data collection, validation, and preparation processes wherever feasible, and automate dashboard updates accordingly
• Maintain a reporting schedule to ensure timely delivery of reports to high-profile stakeholders
• Summarize data in executive reports in collaboration with internal teams
• Create documentation to support ongoing maintenance and upkeep of dashboards
• Develop a templated intake and interview process to ensure effective dashboard collaboration with stakeholders
• Contribute inputs to board metrics and other compulsory reporting as required

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in data analysis and cybersecurity concepts, paired with the communication skills to present complex information clearly to any audience. • Data analysis skills including data validation, preparation, and cleansing, with fluency in the full Data Management life cycle
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, including creating and automating Power BI dashboards
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, domains, and associated risks, ideally with progressive cybersecurity education
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or COBIT
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences at all levels
• Stakeholder management experience, including the ability to interview stakeholders, determine meaningful metrics, and incorporate feedback
• Time management ability to meet critical deadlines across multiple concurrent deliverables
• Nice to have: CISSP or similar certification; experience with Power BI, Python Scripting, Workiva, Power Query, SQL Database, VBA, or Azure/AWS/GCP
