Working the afternoon shift Monday through Friday, you’ll be at the centre of the packaging operation — overseeing associates, managing equipment checks, and ensuring every product leaving the line is properly packaged, labelled, and coded. Familiarity with Nulogy PackManager is considered an asset for this position.

About the Role: Line Lead

As a Line Lead at DHL Supply Chain, you’re responsible for the smooth and accurate operation of the production line. You’ll review special instructions before each production run, direct associates on their duties, and make sure every finished product meets customer requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational oversight with direct participation in packing and assembly tasks.

A key part of this role is maintaining food safety standards throughout the facility. You’ll ensure machinery is properly cleaned between orders to prevent cross-contamination, conduct visual inspections of equipment, and uphold all operating procedures. Working safely and holding the team to those same standards is fundamental to the position.

This full-time position pays $20.75 per hour. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll divide your time between leading associates on the production line and actively participating in packaging and assembly tasks. Keeping the line running accurately and safely — while ensuring all customer requirements are met — is the core of what you’ll do every shift.

  • Review all special instructions and checklists prior to each production run
  • Direct temporary and permanent associates on their duties and expected tasks
  • Inspect all equipment visually to confirm safe and operational condition before use
  • Package finished goods and ensure the correct product labels are affixed
  • Maintain food safety by ensuring machinery is cleaned between orders to prevent cross-contamination
  • Operate machinery in accordance with all established operating procedures
  • Support assembly and packing line tasks such as aligning bags, stacking cases on pallets, and opening boxes

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment and can step up as a team lead with confidence. You don’t need an extensive background — what matters most is your reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to follow safety and quality procedures consistently.

  • 0 to 3 months of experience in a warehouse setting (required)
  • 6 months of machine operation experience (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Nulogy PackManager is considered a strong asset
  • Attention to detail when reviewing instructions, labels, and product specifications
  • Team leadership ability to guide and direct associates on the line
