This daytime, Monday-to-Friday position puts you at the centre of a fast-moving packaging and labelling operation. You’ll be leading line associates, ensuring product quality, and keeping things running safely and efficiently from start to finish. Familiarity with Nulogy PackManager is a strong asset for this role.

About the Role: Line Lead

As a Line Lead, you’re the go-to person on your production line. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that packaging, labelling, and coding are carried out accurately and according to order specifications. That means reviewing all special instructions and checklists before production begins, directing associates through their duties, and making sure every finished product meets quality standards before it heads out the door.

Beyond production itself, this role carries real responsibility for food safety and equipment maintenance. You’ll visually inspect machinery before each shift, ensure proper cleaning between orders to prevent cross-contamination, and uphold all operating procedures to maintain a safe working environment for everyone on your line.

Benefits and Salary

This full-time position pays $20.75 per hour. Full-time associates receive a benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, basic life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term disability, and a standard long-term disability option. Responsibilities

The Line Lead role is hands-on and leadership-focused. You’ll be guiding associates through their daily tasks while making sure production stays on track, product quality is maintained, and food safety protocols are followed at all times. These responsibilities are central to keeping the operation running smoothly and efficiently.

  • Review all special instructions and checklists prior to the start of production
  • Direct temporary associates by clearly communicating their expected duties on the line
  • Inspect all equipment visually to confirm safe and operational condition before each shift
  • Package finished goods accurately and in accordance with customer order requirements
  • Verify that the correct product label is properly affixed to each finished product
  • Ensure machinery is thoroughly cleaned between orders to prevent cross-contamination
  • Apply a solid understanding of all operating procedures for line machinery
  • Support the assembly and packing line with tasks such as aligning bags, opening boxes, and stacking cases on pallets

Requirements / Skills

The right candidate for this role is someone who’s comfortable taking ownership on the floor and keeping a team organized and on task. Attention to detail, a solid grasp of food safety principles, and a willingness to lead by example are what DHL is looking for in a Line Lead.

  • Warehouse experience: 0 to 3 months of experience in a warehouse setting is required
  • Machine operation: 6 months of machine operation experience is preferred
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Nulogy PackManager: Experience with this platform is considered a strong asset
  • Food safety awareness: Ability to uphold food safety standards throughout the production process
  • Leadership: Comfortable instructing and guiding associates to perform their assigned duties
