About the Role: Line Lead

As a Line Lead at DHL’s Bolton facility, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the accurate packaging, labelling, and coding of products along the production line. You’ll review special instructions and checklists before production begins, instruct associates on their duties, and make sure all order requirements are fulfilled to standard. This position plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and on schedule.

This full-time position pays $20.75 per hour. Responsibilities

The Line Lead at DHL Bolton is responsible for directing production line activity while maintaining high standards of product accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency. From pre-production checks to hands-on support during packing, this role keeps the team aligned and the line moving.

  • Review all special instructions and checklists prior to production to ensure order requirements are fully understood
  • Lead and instruct associates, including temporary staff, on their designated duties along the line
  • Visually inspect all equipment to confirm safe and operational condition before use
  • Package finished goods accurately for customer sale, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Verify labelling by ensuring the correct product label is affixed to every finished product
  • Maintain food safety by ensuring machinery is properly cleaned between orders to prevent cross-contamination
  • Operate machinery in accordance with all established procedures and safety guidelines
  • Support the packing line with tasks such as aligning bags, stacking cases on pallets, and opening boxes as needed

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for a candidate who is comfortable in a warehouse or production environment and can take initiative when leading others. You don’t need years of experience — what matters most is a reliable work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to keep a production line running safely and efficiently.

  • 0 to 3 months of warehouse experience is required; this role is accessible to those relatively new to the environment
  • 6 months of machine operation experience is preferred and will be considered a strong asset
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Experience with Nulogy PackManager is highly desirable for this particular position
  • Food safety awareness and understanding of cross-contamination prevention procedures
