About the Role: Integrated Warehouse Specialist (IWS)

As an IWS Warehouse Specialist, your primary responsibility is controlling the movement of freight in and out of the DHL warehouse facility in Mississauga. You’ll operate forklifts, maintain accurate records of freight movements, and track shipments for the IWS Department. This includes handling the pickup and delivery of IWS cargo while following all company policies and procedures.

The role also requires strong attention to safety compliance — keeping work areas clean, chocking trucks properly during loading and unloading, and identifying and segregating non-conforming and dangerous goods cargo. You’ll work as part of a dependable team that values precision and professionalism in every task.

Benefits and Salary

This position offers a base hourly rate of $22.80 – $25.80 CAD, with the exact amount depending on skills, experience, and internal equity. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus on top of the base pay. Responsibilities

Day-to-day work as an IWS Warehouse Specialist covers a wide range of freight handling and logistics tasks. You’ll follow the direction of the Warehouse Team Lead to keep daily operations on track, ensuring every shipment is handled accurately and safely from arrival to dispatch.

• Follow instructions from the Warehouse Team Lead to prioritize and complete daily tasks efficiently
• Inspect and handle all cargo, performing test inspections for piece count, weight, dimensions, and physical condition
• Issue documentation verifying test inspections to the IWS Department
• Identify and segregate non-conforming and dangerous goods cargo, advising the applicable department and Team Leader
• Package cargo safely and securely for transport within and outside the warehouse facility
• Label cargo in accordance with the requirements of the relevant departments
• Transfer cargo to the staging area for dispatch according to generated manifests
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, ocean containers, and airline pallets, ensuring all trucks are chocked and in gear during the process
• Maintain clean working areas and adhere to company safety codes and regulations
• Store cargo safely and efficiently within warehouse racks and designated bulk areas

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings hands-on forklift experience and a solid understanding of shipping and receiving documentation. DHL values team players who are organized, dependable, and comfortable working across rotating shifts in a busy freight forwarding environment.

• Minimum 3 years of forklift operation experience — this is a core requirement for the role
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving documentation processes within a warehouse setting

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts as required by the department
• Minimum secondary school diploma required; college or trade accreditation is preferred
