Hub Supervisor – UPS – Lachine, QC

This is a part-time permanent position with evening shift hours, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and has a genuine passion for leading people and driving results.

In this role, you’ll be on the floor working directly with Package Handlers, setting the tone for safety, productivity, and teamwork. You’ll be responsible for coaching, training, and developing your workgroup while maintaining the high standards that UPS is known for across its global network.

About the Role: Hub Supervisor

As a Hub Supervisor, your primary focus will be supervising Package Handlers and ensuring that your team operates safely, accurately, and efficiently during every shift. You’ll set clear expectations for productivity, attendance, and workplace safety, and you’ll implement personal development plans to help your team members grow professionally. Strong leadership and proactive communication are at the core of this position.

This role also requires close collaboration with personnel across various departments, making interpersonal skills and bilingual communication essential. Given that 50% of interactions involve clients outside of Quebec, strong proficiency in both French and English — written and spoken — is a firm requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Package Handlers on shift, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures in line with department, corporate, and OSHA requirements
• Manage department resources to maximize output, accuracy, and efficiency across all operations
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that emphasizes employee involvement, proactive communication, and inter-departmental cooperation
• Implement personal development plans to support the ongoing professional growth of all department personnel
• Deliver thorough orientation, skills training, and safety training to all employees, along with regular evaluations and proactive coaching
• Uphold high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, and communication at all times
• Cultivate functional working relationships with personnel at all levels of the organization

Requirements / Skills

UPS is looking for a candidate who combines leadership ability with practical warehouse experience and strong communication skills. The right person will be comfortable working in a structured yet dynamic environment and capable of holding a team accountable while supporting their development.

• Bilingualism (French and English) is required — both written and spoken — with strong verbal and written skills in French being essential due to regular interactions with clients outside Quebec
• Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs. / 32 kgs.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week (Monday to Friday, evening shift)
• Strong oral and written communication skills to lead, coach, and coordinate effectively
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced warehouse environment with consistency and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent — preferred
• Management experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity — preferred
