About the Role: Grocery Associate

As a Grocery Associate, you’ll ensure the grocery department is fully stocked, clean, and ready for business. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service will play a crucial role in providing customers with a seamless shopping experience.

From zoning the department to rotating stock and adhering to food safety guidelines, you’ll take pride in maintaining the highest standards for Walmart’s grocery area.

Responsibilities of a Grocery Associate

• Maintain and zone the grocery department to ensure a clean and organized shopping experience.
• Rotate stock and monitor product expiry dates to ensure freshness.
• Ensure merchandise is correctly signed, priced, and ready for sale.
• Follow food safety and handling procedures, as well as sanitation protocols.
• Perform tasks such as ordering, applying clearance, and handling markups/markdowns.
• Stock merchandise and downstock as required, ensuring shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing.
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Adhere to Walmart’s Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
