General Merchandise Associate – Walmart – Quebec City, QC

Walmart Canada is hiring a General Merchandise Associate at their Quebec City location — a great entry point into the retail industry for anyone who enjoys working with people and keeping things running smoothly on the sales floor. This is a temporary (fixed term) position with flexible scheduling across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights.

In this role, you’ll be front and centre on the sales floor — greeting customers, maintaining merchandise areas, and making sure shelves are stocked and organized. It’s a hands-on job that combines customer service with physical merchandising work, all within a busy retail environment.

About the Role: General Merchandise Associate

As a General Merchandise Associate, your day-to-day will involve covering assigned areas of the sales floor, zoning merchandise, assisting customers with product locations and purchase decisions, and ensuring displays are properly set and maintained. You’ll also pitch in at the Front End when needed and work recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk.

Keeping the store safe, clean, and hazard-free is a core part of the job. You’ll follow Walmart’s policies and procedures, complete safety sweep logs, and ensure fixtures and displays remain secure. Strong communication with fellow associates is key to maintaining proper floor coverage throughout every shift.

This position starts at a minimum rate of $18.75 per hour. Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise, downstock where applicable, and apply product protection as required
• Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars, and set new shelf caps
• Move feature merchandise to its modular home and work recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk
• Assist with Front End coverage and communicate with associates to maintain proper floor coverage
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment by following company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and securing displays and fixtures

Requirements / Skills
