Asset Protection Associate – Walmart – Trois-Rivières, QC

Walmart Canada is looking for an Asset Protection Associate to join their team in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. This role is central to keeping the store a safe, secure, and welcoming place for customers, associates, vendors, and visitors alike — and it comes with real responsibility from day one.

In this position, you’ll be the eyes and ears on the floor, conducting store patrols, supporting loss prevention investigations, and responding to emergencies as needed. It’s a hands-on role that blends security awareness with customer-facing professionalism — no two shifts are quite the same.

About the Role: Asset Protection Associate

As an Asset Protection Associate, your core focus is preventing financial and physical loss while maintaining a professional store environment. You’ll conduct daily patrols, verify that doors, showcases, and security systems are working properly, and take action when something is off. When incidents do occur — whether internal theft, external theft, or organized retail crime — you’ll investigate, document findings, and communicate clearly with store leadership and the Market Loss Prevention Manager.

Beyond investigations, you’ll support store emergency procedures, carry out external apprehensions in compliance with company policy and legal standards, and pitch in on store task team responsibilities as needed. The role requires schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure consistent coverage across all operating hours.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $20.35 per hour. Responsibilities

Day to day, the Asset Protection Associate is responsible for keeping the store safe and losses to a minimum through active observation, investigation, and team collaboration. These duties span security patrols, incident response, and cross-functional store support — making it a varied and impactful role within the Walmart Canada team.

• Conduct daily store patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, associates, and vendors
• Verify that doors, showcases, and security systems are functioning properly and take corrective action when needed
• Investigate incidents of financial and physical shrink, communicating findings to store leadership
• Escalate internal investigations to the Market Loss Prevention Manager in line with company guidelines
• Support investigations related to internal theft, external theft, organized retail crime, and cases assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics
• Carry out external apprehensions when required, in compliance with company policy and applicable legal standards
• Support store evacuation and emergency response procedures during fire or other incidents
• Gather and communicate information from multiple sources, clearly presenting findings to leadership and other stakeholders
• Participate in store task team responsibilities as required to support overall store operations

• Security Guard Licence — this is a required minimum qualification for the position

• Strong communication skills — ability to gather information from multiple sources and explain findings clearly to leadership and stakeholders
