About the Role: General Merchandise Associate
As a General Merchandise Associate, your day-to-day work centres on keeping assigned areas of the salesfloor well-stocked, properly zoned, and visually clean. You’ll assist customers throughout the store, help move feature merchandise to its modular home, and work recovery merchandise from the customer service desk and other areas. From setting shelf caps to completing modulars, the work is varied and physically active.
You’ll also play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following company policies and completing safety sweep logs. Teamwork is central to this role — you’ll communicate regularly with fellow associates to ensure solid floor coverage is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities
This role covers a wide range of in-store tasks that keep the general merchandise area running efficiently. From greeting customers to stocking shelves and completing modular sets, every responsibility contributes directly to the customer experience and store presentation.
- Greet and assist customers in a polite and friendly manner, helping them locate merchandise, promoting products and services, and resolving concerns where appropriate
- Cover assigned salesfloor areas and zone merchandise to maintain a tidy, well-organized store environment
- Move feature merchandise to its designated modular home and work recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other store areas
- Assist with Front End coverage as needed and communicate with fellow associates to ensure consistent floor coverage
- Stock merchandise, downstock as applicable, apply product protection when required, and set and complete modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
