General Merchandise Associate – Walmart – Quebec City, QC
Location: Quebec City, QC | Company: Walmart
Quebec City’s Walmart location on Boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel is looking for a General Merchandise Associate to join their in-store team. This is a Regular/Permanent position offering flexible scheduling across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights — making it a solid fit for those who need adaptable hours alongside their other commitments.
As a General Merchandise Associate, you’ll be on the sales floor every day — stocking shelves, helping customers find what they need, and keeping your assigned area clean and well-organized. It’s a hands-on role that puts you right at the centre of the in-store experience, where your efforts directly affect how customers feel about their visit.
About the Role: General Merchandise Associate
In this position, you’ll take ownership of a designated section of the sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is stocked, zoned, and properly displayed. You’ll move feature merchandise to its modular home, set and complete modulars (including flex modulars and new shelf caps), and apply product protection where required. You’ll also handle recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and support Front End coverage as needed.
Beyond the physical tasks, this role is rooted in customer service. You’ll greet shoppers, assist them with product locations and purchase decisions, and resolve any concerns they may have. Teamwork and communication with fellow associates are key to keeping the floor running smoothly, and your commitment to workplace safety — including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure — plays a big part in maintaining a safe environment for both customers and colleagues.
Benefits and Salary
The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.75 per hour. Beyond competitive wages, Walmart Canada offers a solid package that includes store discounts, deferred profit sharing, stock options, and access to the Live Better U education program. Depending on your employment status and hours worked, you may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, life insurance, and paid time off. EQ Health support is also available to associates.
