About the Role: Forklift Operator
As a Receiving Operator at DHL Supply Chain in Mississauga, your main function is to safely and efficiently operate powered equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product throughout the facility. You’ll also be responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products, verifying that shipments are free of damage, properly labelled, and match customer requirements.
Working in this environment demands a strong commitment to safety compliance, accuracy, and teamwork. You’ll be expected to follow all OSHA and MSDS standards, complete daily equipment inspections, and maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition. Cross-training between picking and packing means you’ll bring versatility to the team and contribute to smooth daily operations.

This full-time position pays $23.50 per hour. Responsibilities
In this role, your day-to-day work centres around the safe operation of forklifts and other powered equipment to keep product moving efficiently through the warehouse. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as you’ll be handling airplane engine parts and ensuring every shipment meets strict customer requirements.
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment to load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials — approximately 80% of each shift
- Pick and prepare product for shipment, verifying that the correct number and types of product are loaded accurately
- Inspect all inbound and outbound products to confirm they are free of damage, infestation, and that product code dates are properly recorded
- Verify load accuracy by checking load counts, stability, and product condition, and report any variances immediately
- Maintain records and reports to support inventory accuracy throughout the facility
- Comply with all OSHA and MSDS safety standards at all times
- Complete daily equipment inspections and manage battery or LP tank changes as needed
- Assist with physical inventory counts and keep the facility’s equipment and work areas clean and orderly
Requirements / Skills

- Forklift operator certificate or the ability to complete a certified forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
- Minimum 6 months of experience operating a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) Order Picker, and the ability to become MHE certified within the first 15 days
- Picking and packing experience with strong attention to detail in a high-volume setting
- Good computer skills for maintaining inventory records and related documentation
- Six months of warehouse experience preferred, along with six months of general forklift operation experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
