About the Role: Forklift Packing Operator

As a Forklift Packing Operator at DHL Supply Chain, you’ll be responsible for operating powered warehouse equipment to move, locate, stack, and count product throughout the facility. A significant portion of your shift — roughly 80% — will be spent operating a forklift, clamp truck, or order picker, while the remainder focuses on packing and preparing parts for shipment. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential given the nature of the products being handled.

This part-time position pays $23.50 per hour. Responsibilities

Working within a specialized aerospace parts supply chain, the Forklift Packing Operator plays a key role in keeping product moving safely and accurately. You’ll be expected to manage both the operational and organizational aspects of warehouse workflow, from loading and unloading to maintaining tidy, compliant equipment areas.

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move, stack, and stage product for 80% of each shift
  • Pack and pick airplane engine parts with detailed attention to accuracy and product integrity
  • Load and unload product while verifying count, stability, and condition of each shipment
  • Maintain records and reports to support accurate inventory tracking
  • Inspect inbound and outbound products to confirm they are damage-free and meet customer specifications
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and change batteries or LP tanks as required
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS safety standards throughout every shift
  • Assist with physical inventory counts as needed

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for a candidate who brings both practical warehouse experience and the ability to work precisely in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. Given the dual nature of this role, comfort with both MHE operation and packing tasks is important from day one.

  • Forklift operator certificate or ability to complete a forklift-training program within the first 30 days
  • Minimum 6 months of forklift experience, particularly with a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) lift or order picker
  • Packing experience with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
  • Good computer knowledge for recording and tracking inventory information
  • Ability to obtain MHE certification on an order picker (cherry picker)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Six months of warehouse experience is preferred
