About the Role: Food Counter Attendant

As a Food Counter Attendant, you’ll be right at the heart of daily restaurant operations. Your work keeps the location running smoothly — from serving customers at the counter and taking orders to preparing and packaging food items. You’ll also keep the kitchen and dining area clean, stocked, and ready for the next rush.

This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role that requires you to stay on your feet for extended periods and handle items up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Teamwork, reliability, and a client-focused attitude are essential to thriving in this environment. The ability to work in both English and French is an asset, as this is a bilingual region.

Benefits and Salary

Responsibilities

Day to day, a Food Counter Attendant at Tim Hortons takes on a wide variety of tasks that keep the restaurant clean, stocked, and running efficiently. From the front counter to the kitchen, every task plays a role in delivering the quality and speed customers expect.

• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables and take their orders accurately
• Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items for counter and take-out service
• Package and wrap take-out food and portion items for service
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs throughout the shift
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand; clean kitchen surfaces, appliances, and equipment
• Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars and keep records of food quantities used
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, including an electronic cash register
• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
