About the Role: Finance Intern – Short Term Assignment

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Intern will be embedded within the Finance team and contribute to a range of day-to-day financial operations. From account reconciliations and invoice processing to supporting month-end close activities, you’ll be handling real work that has a direct impact on the organization’s financial accuracy and reporting quality.

This role also involves cross-functional collaboration, giving you exposure to how different teams within a large logistics company work together. You’ll participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects, rounding out your understanding of how finance functions within a global supply chain environment.

Responsibilities

As a Finance Intern at DHL Global Forwarding, your daily work will centre on supporting the finance team with critical operational and reporting tasks. These responsibilities are designed to give you broad exposure to real financial processes within a high-volume, global logistics environment.

• Assist the Finance team with account reconciliations and financial data validation
• Support the preparation and analysis of financial reports and spreadsheets
• Review and organize financial documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Process data entry, invoice processing, and expense tracking activities
• Support month-end close activities and associated reporting requirements
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies for follow-up
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
• Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to support operational and financial objectives
