Responsibilities

This role requires you to operate as both a strategic account manager and a hands-on sales executor. You’ll be responsible for the entire sales motion — from prospecting and pipeline management to closing complex, multi-year deals — while simultaneously acting as a trusted advisor to public sector clients navigating digital transformation.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies designed to surpass business goals while building trusted, long-term relationships with public sector customers
  • Manage and track the full sales pipeline from lead generation through to close, including accurate forecasting and clear visibility into expected outcomes
  • Negotiate and structure complex, multi-year contracts and craft persuasive proposals that clearly demonstrate return on investment through detailed business cases and deployment plans
  • Mobilize internal teams — including Customer Engineering, Partner, and Post-Sales — alongside external partners to drive cloud consumption and deliver a seamless customer experience

Requirements / Skills

Google is seeking a candidate who brings both technical credibility and strong business development instincts to this role. The ideal person has a proven track record in quota-carrying cloud or software sales, a genuine understanding of how public sector organizations procure and adopt technology, and the relationship-building skills to engage stakeholders at every level.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field
  • 10 years of experience in quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or consultative account management at a B2B software company
  • Public sector experience working with government bodies, municipalities, or educational institutions across the region
  • Full sales cycle management experience, including pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and commercial negotiation
  • Relationship-building expertise across diverse internal teams and customer stakeholder groups
  • Consultative selling skills, including presenting proposals, qualifying leads, and building multi-year account strategies (preferred)
  • Business and financial acumen, including P&L management and the ability to produce accurate forecasts (preferred)
