About the Role: Director, Canada Go-To-Market Operations

As the Director of Canada GTM Operations, you’ll be responsible for shaping the strategic priorities for Google’s large customer sales business in Canada. That means running strategic planning cycles, leading cross-Google Canada initiatives (including Canada Velocity — Brand & Reputation), and ensuring that operational programs are delivered with both precision and impact. You’ll manage the Google Canada Strategy & Operations (GTM) team and serve as a key decision-making partner to the most senior leaders in the organization.

Responsibilities

This role carries significant strategic weight — you’ll be responsible not only for driving operational efficiency across Google Canada’s LCS business, but also for shaping the long-term commercial direction of the organization. Your work will directly influence how Google Canada’s largest clients are supported and how the broader team performs against business goals.

  • Partner with senior sales and cross-functional leaders to develop quarterly and annual business plans that align with Google Canada’s strategic priorities
  • Shape and drive decision-making within Google Canada’s LCS and cross-functional leadership teams, including influencing VP and C-level stakeholders
  • Lead a high-performing team to structure and deliver complex, time-critical, large-scale operational improvement initiatives
  • Drive cross-functional projects under the OneGoogle Canada umbrella, including Canada Velocity (Brand & Reputation)
  • Ensure operational excellence by maintaining operational cadence and accuracy across the organization
  • Optimize resource allocation across sales teams, including objective setting, portfolio management, and progress measurement against business goals
  • Lead sales leadership meetings and ensure alignment on priorities, initiatives, and execution timelines
  • Collaborate with Americas GTM leadership to land global initiatives and identify growth opportunities across the Americas region

Requirements / Skills

Google is seeking a leader with a proven track record in strategy, operations, and executive-level stakeholder management. The ideal candidate brings deep experience navigating large, complex organizations and has the analytical horsepower and communication skills to influence at the highest levels of the business.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical (Science) or quantitative/business-oriented field such as Finance or Business Analytics — or equivalent practical experience
  • 15+ years of experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, Go-To-Market Strategy, Sales Operations, or Corporate Strategy
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading and developing high-performing teams
  • VP/C-level stakeholder experience — demonstrated ability to partner with and influence executive leadership
  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred, along with experience managing strategic planning cycles for large organizations
  • Exceptional communication skills — both written and verbal — including strong presentation and negotiation abilities for senior-level internal audiences
  • Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills, paired with sound business judgement in complex and ambiguous situations
