About the Role: Deli Associate

As a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the deli section so it runs smoothly from open to close. That includes zoning the department, ensuring products are properly signed and priced, and using equipment like slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers to prepare items for customers and display cases.

A key part of the role involves strict food safety compliance — including cold chain standards, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates. • Operate deli equipment such as slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers safely and efficiently
• Fill display cases with prepared salads, side dishes, and other deli items
• Assist front-end Associates with price checks as needed
• Maintain cleanliness by keeping the work area free of debris, unnecessary fixtures, and liquids
