About the Role: Dairy/Frozen Associate

As a Dairy/Frozen Associate, your main focus will be maintaining the integrity and appearance of the dairy and frozen departments. You’ll rotate and replenish stock, check expiry dates, ensure proper signage and pricing, and zone the department to keep everything looking sharp for customers. This is a role where attention to detail genuinely matters.

A big part of this position involves following cold chain compliance protocols, food safety procedures, and sanitation standards. You’ll also be expected to work collaboratively with your team and uphold Walmart Canada’s standards across ordering, markups/markdowns, and product labelling.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum starting rate of pay for this position is $17.75 per hour. Responsibilities

Day-to-day, this role keeps the dairy and frozen departments stocked, organized, and compliant with food safety standards. From rotating product and checking expiry dates to maintaining clean, well-merchandised shelves, every task contributes directly to the customer shopping experience.

• Zone the department to maintain a consistent, organized layout throughout overnight shifts
• Rotate stock and check for expired or near-expiry products to ensure freshness and compliance
• Verify signage and pricing to ensure all merchandise is properly labelled and flagged
• Adhere to cold chain compliance standards, including thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and proper product rotation
• Follow food safety protocols including food handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures
• Process ordering, clearance, and markups/markdowns according to established procedures
• Maintain department features and keep the area clean, neat, and free of debris, foreign objects, and liquids
