Responsibilities
The Customer Service Manager plays a hands-on leadership role across the entire front-end of the store. From managing associate schedules to handling customer concerns and ensuring cash accuracy, this position keeps the daily operations of the checkout area running efficiently. - Ensure workplace safety by enforcing safe work practices, proper lifting techniques, emergency procedures, and theft prevention protocols at all times

- Supervise checkout area coverage by maintaining adequate staffing levels, coordinating breaks, and supporting peripheral cash stations to keep customer flow moving
- Train and develop associates on company systems and procedures including scan accuracy, productivity standards, electronic article surveillance (EAS), and security requirements
- Oversee transactions including purchases, returns, and exchanges; provide authorizations, assist with error corrections, and verify compliance with company guidelines
- Support EAS and loss prevention by confirming cashiers are properly demagnetizing items and that greeter staff are managing alarms and completing demagnetization defect logs accurately
- Manage cash and tills by preparing registers for daily opening and closing, assisting cashiers with float requirements, and verifying accuracy through regular till checks
- Promote company programs including credit card services, Walmart Protection Plans, charitable initiatives, and associate and customer discount programs
