This isn’t a traditional technical support role. As a Practice Customer Engineer with a Looker BI specialty, you’ll be embedded alongside Sales teams, acting as the technical expert who helps close deals, design architectures, and demonstrate real-world value of Google Cloud’s most strategic products. If you thrive on translating complex data problems into elegant, scalable solutions — and enjoy presenting those solutions to everyone from developers to C-suite executives — this role is built for you.

About the Role: Customer Engineer II, Business Intelligence

At the core of this position is a blend of deep business intelligence expertise and client-facing sales support. You’ll partner with technical sales teams to accelerate the adoption of complex, specialized workloads on Google Cloud. Day-to-day, this means developing architectures, prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and live demonstrations tailored to each customer’s specific business challenges. Your work will directly influence how customers adopt and expand their use of Looker and the broader Google Cloud portfolio.

You’ll also play a key role in shaping the product roadmap itself — acting as a critical feedback loop between customers and Google Cloud’s product development teams. Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills are essential, as you’ll regularly engage with both technical stakeholders and executive leadership at client organizations across North America.
