Customer Developer, Cloud AI – Google – Toronto, ON
Location: Toronto, ON | Company: Google
Google Cloud is looking for a Customer Developer specializing in Cloud AI to join their team in Toronto or Waterloo, Ontario. This is a mid-level, technically intensive role that sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, machine learning, and customer-facing sales engineering — a rare combination that puts you front and centre with enterprise clients across Canada and beyond.
In this role, you’ll work alongside technical sales teams to demonstrate the value of Google Cloud’s AI portfolio, building prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and demos that directly influence purchasing decisions. If you’re the kind of person who thrives on translating complex AI capabilities into tangible business outcomes, this is a role worth exploring.
About the Role: Customer Developer, Cloud AI
As a Practice Customer Developer (CE) with a specialty in Cloud AI, you’ll partner with platform engineers and sales Googlers to accelerate technical wins and drive adoption of complex, specialized AI workloads. You’ll be hands-on — writing code, developing prototypes, and crafting custom demos — to help customers understand how Google Cloud’s cutting-edge AI solutions can address their most pressing business challenges. Your work spans the full sales cycle, from technical evaluation through to customer onboarding and ramp.
Beyond the technical build work, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor, engaging directly with executive stakeholders and domain experts to understand requirements and present solutions persuasively. You’ll also feed learnings from customer engagements back into the product roadmap, acting as a critical link between Google Cloud’s customers and its internal product and development teams. Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills are essential in this environment.
