Responsibilities

As a DHL Courier Driver, your daily tasks cover the full scope of route-based delivery and pickup operations. Accuracy, professionalism, and efficiency are central to the role — every action you take directly impacts customer satisfaction and DHL’s reputation as a world-class logistics provider.

  • Scan all shipments using the GCA scanner, including all waybills, laser waybills, and shipper-barcoded labels as required
  • Deliver assigned materials within the route area in accordance with both customer expectations and DHL standards
  • Complete all customer pickups within specified guidelines and service requirements
  • Verify valid customer accounts prior to each delivery or pickup
  • Compile and submit accurate route records on a daily basis
  • Report route irregularities and notable competitor activity to DHL
  • Manage heavyweight deliveries, handling them personally or coordinating third-party providers as needed
  • Maintain vehicle and uniform to uphold DHL’s professional image at all times
  • Identify and flag potential sales opportunities or customer vulnerabilities to the Sales Department

Requirements / Skills

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence held for a minimum of 18 months with a clean driver’s abstract (no infractions)

  • Proven customer service skills with a professional, approachable manner

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with customers and internal teams
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check (covering all countries lived in for the past 5 years)
