About the Role: Casual Warehouse Associate

As a Casual Warehouse Associate at DHL’s Calgary (YYC) facility, you’ll be responsible for unloading and loading containers, sorting freight, scanning shipments, and keeping the warehouse organized and safe. Your attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines will directly contribute to customers receiving their shipments on time, every time.

Working conditions include a physically demanding environment — you’ll be on your feet, working in varying temperatures depending on the season, and managing time-sensitive tasks. Benefits and Salary

This position offers a starting wage of $23.38 per hour, with increases in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Responsibilities

Day-to-day work in the Calgary warehouse keeps things moving — literally. You’ll be handling freight at every stage of its journey through the facility, from unloading containers to sorting and scanning outbound packages, all while keeping the workspace clean and safe for the whole team.

• Unload and load containers, trailers, and vehicles safely, correctly, and efficiently
• Move freight within the warehouse area in accordance with established safety procedures
• Sort and process inbound and outbound materials accurately and within set deadlines
• Scan freight using various programs as per Global Standard Operating Procedures
• Participate in the organization and clean-up of the warehouse area on an ongoing basis
• Maintain a safe and cooperative work environment at all times
• Respond to emails and complete other warehouse duties as assigned by the shift supervisor

Requirements / Skills

DHL is looking for candidates who are reliable, physically capable, and comfortable working in a high-pace logistics environment. You don’t need years of warehouse experience to apply — but a solid work ethic, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and a genuine team-player attitude are must-haves.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum 18 years of age to undergo prerequisite background checks
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs per piece throughout the entire shift
• Comfortable working at heights and standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight time constraints consistently
• Effective team member with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a warehouse setting
• General knowledge of warehouse functions is considered an asset
