Collision Technician – Tesla – Port Coquitlam, BC

Tesla’s Collision Repair Program is hiring a Collision Technician in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. About the Role: Collision Technician

As a Collision Technician, you’ll be responsible for both structural and cosmetic collision repairs across Tesla’s full vehicle lineup. Your day-to-day work will involve using Celette Frame Jigs to set new structural components, performing MIG welding, and applying gluing, riveting, and panel finishing techniques to return each vehicle to its pre-collision condition.

Working within a collaborative team environment, you’ll follow established repair procedures and maintain a high standard of quality on every job. Whether you’re replacing suspension components, airbags, body panels, or trim, precision and attention to detail are key to success in this position.

Responsibilities

In this role, every vehicle you work on represents Tesla’s commitment to quality and safety. From frame alignment to panel finishing, your technical expertise will directly impact how customers experience their vehicles after a collision. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing on the job:

• Perform structural repairs on Tesla Model S, Model X, Model Y, and Model 3 vehicles using Tesla-approved procedures
• Operate Celette Frame Jigs to accurately set and align new structural components
• Weld, glue, and rivet structural components being replaced during collision repair
• Restore cosmetic panels through metal finishing techniques and body filler application
• Replace collision-related parts including body panels, suspension components, vehicle structure, radiators, airbags, and trim
• Apply MIG welding skills proficiently across a range of repair scenarios
• Follow repair procedures and collaborate effectively with your team throughout each repair

Requirements / Skills

Tesla is looking for an experienced collision repair professional who is comfortable working with the latest automotive technology and thrives in a team-oriented shop environment. The ideal candidate holds the necessary credentials and brings both technical skill and a positive, collaborative attitude to the workplace.

• 5+ years of experience as an Automotive Collision Repair Technician
• 310B Licence is required for this position
• MIG welding proficiency is essential to performing structural repairs
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed automotive repair procedures
• Valid Class 5, G, or G2 driver’s licence (Canadian)
• Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new software and EV-specific repair systems
• Vocational Certificate in Collision Repair and MIG Welding certification are considered assets
