Collision Supervisor – Tesla – Port Coquitlam, BC

Tesla Collision is on the hunt for an experienced Collision Supervisor to lead shop floor teams at their Port Coquitlam, British Columbia facility. This is a hands-on leadership role at one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world — a chance to drive real operational results while developing a high-performing team of collision technicians.

As the Collision Center Supervisor, you’ll oversee daily production workflow, coach technicians, uphold safety standards, and partner with management to scale shop capacity. Your ability to lead with clarity, solve problems at the root cause level, and keep the team aligned will be central to success in this role.

About the Role: Collision Supervisor

This position puts you at the centre of Tesla’s collision centre operations. You’ll be responsible for supervising and coaching technicians, managing the flow of work through the facility, and ensuring that quality and efficiency benchmarks are consistently met. You’ll define and continuously refine work standards with input from your team, and serve as the go-to process leader for all shop activities.

Keeping the team safe and compliant is a core part of this role. You’ll monitor adherence to safety regulations and the collision centre’s safety program, address technical and personnel issues as they arise, and handle scheduling to accommodate both operational needs and employee time-off requests. Regular one-on-one development meetings and ongoing training coordination are also key parts of keeping your team growing professionally.

Benefits and Salary

Tesla offers a competitive compensation package for this full-time position, with an expected annual salary of $92,400 to $138,600, plus cash and stock awards. Responsibilities

Day-to-day, the Collision Supervisor is responsible for keeping the shop running smoothly — from coaching technicians and managing work flow to communicating goals and resolving personnel issues. These responsibilities are critical to maintaining Tesla’s high standards of quality, safety, and operational performance.

• Supervise and coach assigned employees to meet quality standards and facility goals
• Manage work flow through the facility, acting as the process leader for all shop activities
• Define and improve work standards with input from technicians and the broader team
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and the collision centre’s safety program
• Resolve technical and personnel issues in collaboration with employees
• Schedule staff to meet facility needs while accommodating vacations and time off per company policy
• Select team members and ensure they receive required training; coordinate ongoing training with relevant resources
• Hold regular one-on-one development meetings to support professional growth and career advancement
• Communicate daily to align all team members on goals and surface any issues affecting the facility or organization
• Partner with the Associate Manager to scale shop production and meet company targets

Requirements / Skills

Tesla is looking for a candidate with a solid background in collision or automotive operations and a proven ability to lead people and processes. Strong interpersonal skills, accountability, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are essential for thriving in this role.

• Leadership experience: 0–1+ years leading a collision centre, refurbishment centre, service centre, or similar operation
• Collision technical background: 5–10+ years of collision technical experience or comparable aptitude preferred
• Multitasking ability: capable of managing competing priorities, setting goals, and achieving results under deadlines
• Problem-solving skills: experience leading group root-cause analysis and developing quick countermeasures
• Customer interaction: able to engage effectively with customers as needed
• Communication skills: excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication abilities
• Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with repair estimates
• Valid driver’s licence preferred
