About the Role: Claims Associate

Responsibilities
As a Claims Associate at Walmart Thunder Bay, your day-to-day work focuses on inventory accuracy, shrink prevention, and the proper handling of returns and recalled merchandise. - Scan damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner to assist in shrink prevention

- Handle SORT and Global Donation Merchandise according to established procedures
- Maintain a safe claims area by following safety practices including proper chemical disposal, ladder usage, and lifting techniques
- Monitor merchandise returns and protect store assets by minimizing charge backs and tracking shrink wins
- Ensure Vendor Return Request Forms are completed for all claims over 45 days old, keeping the Return Manual up to date
- Complete all GM CVP (Customer Value Program) tasks as required
- Support the Office Support Associate (OSA) and Direct Store Delivery Associate when needed
