About the Role: Business Development Representative
In this position, you’ll use DHL’s CRM system to identify and qualify prospects across Canada, promote services to new and existing clients, and serve as the key point of contact for resolving customer queries. You’ll coordinate across internal departments on lead initiatives and receive regular coaching from your supervisor to sharpen your approach and hit your targets.
As you grow into the role, you’ll take on broader responsibilities including pipeline management, identifying upsell opportunities, and collaborating with different sales channels to expand DHL’s footprint with accounts that could ship more frequently. Responsibilities
As a Business Development Representative at DHL Express, your day-to-day will centre on prospecting, qualifying, and developing B2B relationships across Canada. These responsibilities are what drive DHL’s continued growth and give you a direct stake in the company’s commercial success.
- Prospect and qualify leads via telephone, email, and online platforms using DHL’s CRM system — no industry restrictions across Canada
- Promote DHL Express services to both new and existing clients, identifying the best-fit solutions for their shipping needs
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients to ensure all queries and issues are resolved efficiently
- Coordinate with internal departments on lead development and sales initiatives
- Reactivate and onboard small business accounts and manage ongoing relationships with clients who use DHL services 3–6 times per year
- Identify growth opportunities and collaborate with different sales channels to increase frequency of DHL service usage
- Utilize commercial tools to maximize revenue growth and manage a healthy sales pipeline
- Participate in regular coaching sessions with your supervisor and contribute to your own Individual Development Plan
Requirements / Skills

- College or university degree, or 1–2 years of prior sales experience in a relevant role

- Strong phone presence with the ability to build rapport quickly with prospective clients
- Self-motivated and results-driven with excellent time management and strategic planning skills
- Resilient and positive with the perseverance to push through challenges and hit targets
- Bilingualism in French or Mandarin, or geographic mobility, is considered a plus
