About the Role: Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative at DHL Express, you’ll be responsible for qualifying and engaging prospects through telephone, email, and online platforms. You’ll promote DHL Express shipping and logistics services to both new and existing clients, acting as a reliable point of contact who ensures queries and concerns are handled with care. You’ll coordinate across departments on lead initiatives and receive regular coaching from your supervisor.

As you grow into the role, you’ll take on the management of small-sized business accounts — particularly companies using DHL Express services three to six times per year — and identify opportunities to expand their usage. Responsibilities

Day-to-day, you’ll be engaging prospects and clients across Canada through multiple channels, managing your pipeline strategically, and working as a trusted point of contact for businesses using DHL Express logistics services. These responsibilities are designed to set you up for a strong foundation in B2B sales while offering room to grow into account management.

  • Qualify prospects via telephone, email, and online platforms as part of Canada-wide B2B outreach with no industry restrictions
  • Promote DHL Express services to new and existing clients, building rapport and communicating value clearly
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all queries and issues are handled promptly and professionally
  • Coordinate with internal departments on lead initiatives to ensure seamless follow-through
  • Re-activate and onboard small-sized business accounts and manage ongoing client relationships
  • Identify growth opportunities for increased service usage and collaborate with various sales channels to act on them
  • Manage your sales pipeline using DHL’s commercial tools to maximize revenue growth and onboard new business accounts
  • Participate in regular coaching sessions with your supervisor to refine your approach and develop professionally

Requirements / Skills

  • College or University degree, or 1–2 years of prior sales experience in a related field

  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to plan and execute on sales generation activities independently
