Position Overview: Asset Protection Associate – Walmart Canada
As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart Canada, you will be responsible for ensuring store security and preventing financial loss due to theft or fraud. Your duties include daily patrols, securing doors and showcases, investigating incidents of shrink, and supporting evacuation procedures. You will collaborate closely with store leadership and the Market Loss Prevention Manager to manage theft cases in line with Walmart’s policies.

Key Responsibilities
As an Asset Protection Associate at Walmart Canada, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct daily patrols of the store, ensuring all areas are secure, including doors, showcases, and restricted areas.
- Investigate instances of financial and physical shrink (loss due to theft or damage) and communicate findings to store leadership and the Market Loss Prevention Manager.
- Make external arrests when necessary, ensuring proper procedures are followed to handle incidents safely and legally.
- Support emergency evacuation procedures during incidents such as fires or other emergencies.
- Collaborate with store teams to maintain a secure environment and assist with loss prevention initiatives, including store task teams and special projects.
- Conduct thorough investigations on cases of internal theft, dishonesty, and external retail crime, reporting findings in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide clear and effective communication to clarify security issues and present solutions to various stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
